Matt Konenkamp has a diverse practice that ranges from real estate to personal injury litigation. This includes handling complex real estate litigation and transactions, consulting with real estate brokerages and agents to help them manage transactions and compliance issues and handling other types of complex litigation and transactions. It also includes a vast array of other issues that are capable of being resolved through strategic negotiation or alternatively through litigation. Matt is a trained mediator, negotiator and facilitator. He received his training at the #1 ranked school in the United States for Alternative Dispute Resolution, the Strauss Institute and has received additional training at the University of Denver and in Chicago under the tutelage of a Northwestern Law Professor. Matt provides cutting edge solutions to today's legal problems and approaches conflict with a view to solve it through strategic negotiation in an effort to save his clients money. Matt is a capable trial attorney, however, and if negotiations fail to achieve an acceptable result for his client, litigation is always an option.

In addition to maintaing his law practice Matt is the President and Founder of The South Dakota Dispute Resolution Center, which serves clients by helping them reach practical solutions to issues that otherwise would be resolved through years of litigation. The South Dakota Dispute Resolution Center serves people and businesses who choose not to spend years and tens of thousands of dollars fighting, but who want to reach a practical result in a comparatively short amount of time.

Matt believes strongly in community service and has therefore spent a great deal of time working with local charities. Matt served as the President of the Rapid City Area Jaycees, a charitable organization that focuses almost entirely on providing for underprivileged or disabled children, as the Director of Toys For Tots for Western South Dakota, as the Chairman of the YMCA Kids Campaign and as an organizer of Children's Care Hospital annual fundraiser.

Matt is married to Joslyn Konenkamp and they have a two little boys named Jack and Luke. Matt and Joslyn are expecting twins in January, 2012.

I gained life experience in the US Air Force, as an immigration inspector, nursing administrator, and as an independent paralegal before attending law school and establishing my own practice here in North Sioux. My life experience gives me the knowledge and empathy necessary to help a family wade through difficult legal issues. I have dealt with divorce and custody issues personally, and know what it is like to face a personal disaster. I also know that you CAN recover from hardship, with the right help.

Mark founded the Ekse Law Firm as South Dakota's own intellectual property law resource. Prior to founding the firm he worked in a variety of engineering and business development roles for Rockwell-Collins, in advanced technology development for Motorola, was in private practice specializing in intellectual property law, and most recently was the Chief Technology Officer and In-House Counsel for Communication Service for the Deaf, Inc.

Daniel Brendtro grew up in rural South Dakota on his family's farm that produced purebred hogs. During his law education Daniel received many honors and was at the top of his class. Since his education he has focused his legal career on commercial and general civil cases.

Dan resides in Sioux Falls with his wife Jennifer, where they have three children and an assortment of animal life including the loving family dog. Dan is a committed fan to Hoyas Basketball and participates in many activities including carpentry, running, hiking, reading, managing his fantasy football team, coaching, and playing cards.

Dan also pens a weekly column on current legal issues for readers of the South Dakota newspapers.
